Media Arts and Design & Communications

Hitting it out-of-the-park with creative designs and copy

Hi, my name is Mackenzie and I am a motivated creative executive who promotes home runs as well as designs out-of-the-park graphic marketing campaigns; serving as an integral part of a local public relations creative team while simultaneously fulfilling the leadership role of president for a national honors society chapter I am prepared to join your team and promote your brand.

I have a passion for sports and aspire to work in the sports and entertainment field. In the summer of 2022, I had the privilege of working for the New York Boulders Minor League Baseball team in a Promotions and Social Media intern role. In this role, I was in charge of in-game promotions and content creation for the stadium's jumbotrons and social media accounts. Through this internship, I learned valuable professional skills such as marketing, promotions, graphic design, community outreach, and content creation as well as working in baseball with teams, players and fans.

Recently I took on a creative executive role at Bluestone Communications a student-run PR firm at James Madison University. As a Creative Executive, I work with clients such as Shenandoah Valley United and Pheonix Yoga and Fitness and create media, deliverables and graphics.

I thrive in a team setting but have also demonstrated my leadership abilities. As the President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars chapter at James Madison University, I have taken on a leadership position and am in charge of planning and executing events, workshops and meetings for the organization. I have demonstrated being a team player in my role as a marketing and communication intern where I work with a team to create ways to spread the word about the non-profit organization REpowering Schools.
