Blue Ridge Casa

Blue Ridge CASA is a non-profit agency that trains volunteers to serve as a voice for children in the child welfare system. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. These volunteers learn about the child’s background and build a relationship with them. These CASAs speak up for the child's best interest, recommend what is in the child's best interest and collaborate with all workers involved to ensure the best result for the child.

Objective 

Big Idea

Through research, we found that many potential CASA volunteers feared public speaking and were not being reached on social media. Our main objective was to create an interactive social media campaign on Instagram and Facebook that would reach an audience of 21 and older and ease this group's nerves about volunteering.  

Create interactive social media posts that will recruit new CASA volunteers.

Sketches

In our digital interactive campaign, we wanted to make sure all the posts had an interactive element, followed a consistent theme and explained what a CASA is.  We sketched out potential interactive posts.

Interactive Ads

We made sure to utilize the interactive features offered through Instagram and Facebook. In the final interactive ads we utilized tapping through stories, GIFS, donate tabs, filters and polls as a way to interact with potential CASA volunteers.
