REpowering Schools
REpowering School is a non-profit organization that supports, recognizes, and connects the renewable energy industry with K-12 schools, educators, colleges, and universities. These schools and educators are seeking to boost STEM learning and introduce new job opportunities to students to build a diverse and sustained workforce.
Objective
Big Idea
The objective was to create marketing material that can be displayed and handed out to potential funders and schools about REpowering Schools. The main goal was to create a brochure and a network map.
Design marketing deliverables for conferences and websites.
Brand Guide
I started by making a REpowering Schools brand guide to establish the brand's theme, fonts and colors. The brand guide includes the brand colors, fonts, icons and mock-ups of merchandise used.
Brochure
I designed a brochure to be used and handed out at conferences, challenges, and schools. When designing I balanced the writing and design elements through the pages. This tri-fold brochure has a lot of information on it but is designed to not have to much on each page and have visual elements like pictures and icons to break up the text.
Repowered Schools
Network sticker
REpowering Schools works a lot with K-12 schools so I designed a sticekr to be displayed in schools that has a renewable energy program. When designing this sticker I utilized the brand colors while keeping the design itself simple so it could be easily printed and clear to read. I used the graphic of the REpowering schools logo in the center which also represents the renewable energy sources these schools are using.
Network Map
It was very important to showcase the REpowering Schools network and outreach in a visual map. I designed the map using the brand's colors having the states be navy blue and the states in the network being teal. I also utilized stars to represent the states that have received sponsored research, travel scholarships, awards and mini-grants. This map and variations of this map are displayed on the website, social media accounts and deliverables at conferences.
